Chiropractic Care
We provide advanced spinal correction utilizing "state of the art" chiropractic techniques. Never in the history of chiropractic have we been able to provide the level of help and expertise that now exists. These newer correction methods are even safer, more comfortable and more effective than ever before.
The goal of chiropractic is to gently correct the alignment of specific vertebrae which may be aggravating certain nerves. By restoring proper bio-mechanics and relieving neurological damage, the body is better able to handle stress and heals. Chiropractors do not claim to cure diseases or conditions. Instead, our job is:
- To find and correct the cause of the problem
- Enhance the body’s ability to maintain balance - our natural state of health, and
- To encourage patients to pursue a wellness-based lifestyle - athletes, parents, children, business people, or cancer survivors.
Techniques:
Toggle: A quick, light, thrust, and release to the upper cervical vertebra and allows for a lighter adjustment without the twisting positions that can accompany cervical (neck) techniques.
Torque Release: Uses a Torque Release Adjusting Instrument instead of by-hand adjustments to give consistent mechanical low-force, high-speed adjustment to the upper cervical (neck) utilizing a leg-length analysis to determine the segmental dysfunction.
Thompson Drop-Table Technique: Uses a precision adjusting table with a weighing mechanism which adds only enough tension to hold the patient in the "up" position before the specific adjustment is given.
Webster Technique: Is a specific chiropractic sacral analysis and adjustment. The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of sacral subluxation/ SI joint dysfunction. This establishes pelvic balance and optimizes the room a baby has for development throughout pregnancy.
Sacral Occipital Technique (SOT): Is a method of normalizing the relationship between the foundation of the spine (sacrum) and the top of the spine (occiput). Wedge shaped blocks are used to adjust the sacrum where it attaches to the hip bones. The blocks act as a fulcrum which uses gravity and respiration as the force. This creates a very gentle, yet very effective adjustment.
Activator Method: Utilizing the Activator Adjusting Instrument instead of by-hand adjustments to give consistent mechanical low-force, high-speed clicks to the spine. Dr. Bonnie uses this technique manly with infants, children, and women with osteoporosis.
Diversified: A “classic” chiropractic technique which uses specific manual thrusts focused on restoring normal biomechanical function and has been developed to adjust extremity joints as well.
Extremity Adjustments: Like the joints of the spine, joints in the extremities can also become misaligned and fixated. This is of special interest to athletes who generally demand optimal joint performance from highly stressed joints. Adjusting provides an immediate increase in joint range of motion and also supplies the joint with nutrients, as motion is the only way to bring nutrients into the joint cartilage and flush wastes products out.
